Helping Victims In Transition
"What I like most is working with people that need help to get better. Here is a person who has experienced a catastrophic injury, they're laid up in the hospital and don't really know what happens to them next in the post-discharge stage. Often hospital staff are to busy and the victim really needs someone to help them transition into a recovery program in this post-hospital phase of their injury. I enjoy this work because I can bring my years of experience to help this person transition and recover in the most effective way possible for them.
It's seeing people progress and feel like I've been a part of something that makes their life a little better and hopefully reduces their stress levels and removes the burden of wondering what happens to them next as they transition into the next phase of recovery."
